banner updates

We exchanged our beloved "Alpy" banners with these photos posted below.

This is what all the banners looked like. "Alpy" is the peaceful cousin of Matsumoto's mascot character "Alpu-chan".

We made the "DJ" and "band" the same page labeled as "musicians". They are still categorised for easy navigation.

For "crafts" we thought the Temari ball was a perfect symbol to represent Matsumoto's crafts-men and all the cool things that they're making.

The "money" and "wifi" banners was a tricky one. Especially the "wifi" and "club" banner....We're not really happy with it so we might change it in the future.

The piggy bank was pretty surreal. One of our photographers had a strong feeling to go to Sushi-Ten. After taking a seat in front of the counter and looked up. TADDAAA! the piggy bank was ready for a photo session

"Art" was pretty random. We opened our photo albums and that was the first thing that came out.You could see the actual painting in Elbow Room.

"Bakery" came to us while we were shooting in "BOULANGERIE CIEL"

"Nightlife" was quite random too. While we were freezing our asses off, scrolling through pictures of Hakuba wishing we were there (houses are built to be warmer over there) we stumbled on an old picture and made it the banner...Good times.

The real painting used for "musings" is about 100cm x 100cm. Acrylics on wood. It was drawn in about 6 hours for a live painting practise. However, the painter did not include alcohol during the practice. So when the time came for the real gig the painting ran smoother then ever, but couldn't take any understandable form whatsoever.
